This pressure-balanced backshell system maintains reliable connectivity at extreme ocean depths while resisting corrosive seawater exposure.As a Two Piece Backshell, this component provides hydrostatic pressure compensation up to 10,000 psi while preventing hydrogen embrittlement in high-pressure hydrogen sulfide environments.Featuring 25 positions, the design supports multiplexed sensor arrays used in subsea production control systems while preventing seawater ingress.Engineered for Round underwater cables, the pressure-resistant termination maintains stable impedance characteristics despite extreme depth variations.The 180° configuration allows for smooth transitions from rigid pressure housings to flexible umbilical cables without creating stress concentration points.With Unshielded construction, the backshell prevents interference from ROV thrusters and other high-current subsea equipment while meeting API 17F requirements.Constructed from Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS), the housing withstands 20-year service life in seawater with cathodic protection systems per NACE MR0175/ISO 15156 standards.The Nickel over Copper surface treatment prevents marine growth attachment while maintaining electrical performance at temperatures down to 2 C.Including Assembly Hardware, Cable Clamp, the assembly maintains mechanical stability under strong ocean currents and vortex-induced vibrations.The Mating Screws 4-40 implementation allows for ROV-operated connection/disconnection while maintaining IP68 sealing integrity at 10,000-meter depths.
